Cub Watch Privacy Policy
This app ("the app," "we," "us") is a feeding, pumping, and diaper tracker for infants, built by Threefold Studio LLC. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and what choices you have. We've written it to match exactly what the app's code does, nothing here describes a feature the app doesn't actually have.
The short version
This app is built to work entirely on your own device. There's no account to create, no login, and no advertising or analytics tracking of any kind. If you choose to invite a partner or caregiver to share tracking with you, a small amount of data syncs through your own iCloud account, never through our servers, because we don't have any. That's the whole picture, the sections below go into more detail for anyone who wants it.
Information we collect
This app collects only what you choose to enter into the app:
- Baby profile information, a name, birth date, an emoji/color you pick to represent them, and (optionally) growth measurements you log for percentile tracking.
- Feeding, pumping, and diaper entries, timestamps, duration, side (left/right/both), amount (e.g., ounces), and any notes you type in.
- Important People entries, optional contact-style notes you add for pediatricians, specialists, or other caregivers (name, role, and any details you choose to enter).
- App preferences, units (oz/mL, lb/kg), theme, and similar settings.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other information about you as a person, unless you choose to enter it yourself into a field like a caregiver's name or a specialist's contact notes.
Information we do not collect
To be specific about what this app never touches:
- No camera or photo access. The app has no photo or camera features and never requests this permission.
- No location data. The app never requests or accesses your location.
- No push notifications. The app doesn't send notifications and never asks for notification permission.
- No advertising or analytics SDKs. This app has no ad network, no analytics/tracking library, and no crash-reporting service integrated into it. We don't know how you use the app beyond what's necessary to make the app itself function.
- No social login. There's no "Sign in with Google/Facebook," the only identity the app ever touches is your own Apple ID, and only if you turn on caregiver sharing.
Where your data lives
By default, everything you enter into this app is stored locally on your device only. It is never transmitted anywhere unless you actively turn on Household sharing (see below). Uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes everything stored locally.
Household sharing (optional, Pro feature)
This app lets you optionally share tracking with up to three caregivers (for example, a partner, grandparent, or babysitter) so everyone logs into the same shared record. This feature is entirely optional and off by default.
If you turn it on:
- Sharing works through Apple's iCloud (CloudKit), using your own iCloud account. We do not run our own servers, and we never see, store, or have access to your data, it moves directly between your device, the devices of the caregivers you invite, and Apple's iCloud infrastructure.
- Invites are sent as a link you choose how to share (for example, via Messages), we don't automatically send anything to anyone.
- A household is capped at 3 caregivers. Any caregiver can leave a household at any time from the Caregivers screen, which removes their access to the shared record. The person who set up the household can remove other caregivers, or delete the household entirely, which removes everyone's access and deletes the shared copy of the data. In every case, whatever is already saved locally on each person's own phone is untouched, only the shared copy in iCloud is affected.

Purchases
This app offers an optional one-time "Pro" unlock, handled entirely through Apple's App Store (StoreKit / In-App Purchase). We never see or handle your payment information, Apple processes the transaction directly, and we only receive confirmation that a purchase was completed. Apple's own privacy policy covers how they handle payment data.
Children's privacy
This app is designed for use by parents and caregivers to track information about their infants, it is not directed at children, and it is not designed to be used directly by a child. The app does not knowingly collect any information from a child. Information you enter about your baby (name, birth date, feeding logs, etc.) is entered by you, the parent or caregiver, as part of the app's core tracking function, and is treated with the same care as any other data in this app: stored locally by default, or synced only through your own iCloud account if you choose to enable household sharing.
Your choices and control over your data
- Local data: Everything you've logged is stored on your device. You can delete individual entries, babies, or Important People notes at any time from within the app. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
- Shared household data: If you've enabled caregiver sharing, you can leave a household (as a caregiver) or delete a household entirely (as the owner) at any time from the Caregivers screen, see "Household sharing" above for what each of those does.
- No account to delete: Because this app has no login or account system, there's no separate "delete my account" process, deleting your local data and/or leaving or deleting any shared household covers everything the app stores.
Data retention
Local data is retained on your device for as long as you keep the app installed, or until you delete it yourself. Shared household data in iCloud is retained until the household is deleted (by the owner) or, for an individual caregiver, until they leave the household or the owner removes them.
Security
Data stored locally on your device is protected by your device's own security (passcode, Face ID/Touch ID, encryption at rest, as provided by iOS). Data synced via iCloud is protected by Apple's iCloud security and encryption. We don't operate any servers of our own, which means there's no separate database of yours for us to secure or that could be breached on our end.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Since the app has no account/login system, we don't have a way to email you directly about changes, please check back here occasionally, especially before major app updates.
